Divyanka Tripathi and Vivek Dahiya tie the knot

Small screen’s much loved bahu, Divyanka Tripathi is now a bahu for real. She tied the knot with her Yeh Hai Mohabbatein co-star Vivek Dahiya, in a dreamy wedding held in Bhopal on Friday. The wedding was held indoors (thanks to monsoon showers) and Divyanka wore a heavily embroidered red lehenga while Vivek looked handsome in a traditional shervani. The couple took time to speak to the media after the rituals.

“We wanted a monsoon wedding and now that it’s raining, it has turned pretty romantic,” smiled Divyanka, adding, “I obviously wanted to keep my outfit traditional and got it made exactly the way I wanted.”
The wedding was attended only by close friends, family members and some of their Yeh Hai Mohabbatein co-stars as well. Producer Rashmi Sharma attended with her husband Pawan Kumar and extended her best wishes to the couple. Others present at the wedding were Pankaj Bhatia, Kaushal Kapoor, Abhay Bhargava and Rajesh Kumar. TV and film producer Ekta Kapoor was also expected to attend, but could not.

Divyanka and Vivek’s closeness grew while working together. However the couple kept their relationship under wraps for a year and after mutual consent by their parents, got engaged in a secret ceremony this January. All the pre wedding ceremonies took place in Bhopal and now the couple is set to host a lavish reception in Vivek Dahiya’s hometown, Chandigarh, followed by a party for their close friends in Mumbai.
